MOMENT OF TRUTH

When all the memories you have with that person
Come rushing back to you
 love and dread combine,
Realizing life without you is out of line.
 
he might have given me thousand reasons
to unlove
But what about the memories we created
that made me feel loved
What about the plans we made?
What about the dreamy future we desired?
What about the promises? What about the apologies?
were they always true? were they meant?
Not me, not the essence that loves you wanting to know this...

It shattered and broke me, the love I held near.
But there’s still alive a glimmer of faith in me
that my man will never do this to me
 
However, things did change
he was not the same
Not the person I fell captivated
not that sweet caring person I fell in love with
You left the old me, without a chance to grow,
Stuck in the past, I yearned for you to show.
 
Days passed, weeks passed
You were nowhere,
 but I sensed you everywhere
Slowly healing from cherished yet hurtful past

Why make me feel connected, as if it would last
Why put up IG stories? Why make your pals approach me?

If you wanna talk and work it out. Call me.
Because the  home never shuts its door
But please don’t make me feel pathetic and sorrowful
 
I know you love me, and miss me too
Accordingly do I
But things you are doing now is stupidity
Sitting there behind, making our love a liability
 
waiting for you, longing for your loves embrace
believing you to come back and fill the empty space
Let us rewrite our story, give US another chance,
And be lost in the trance of love's eternal dance.
 
Of course there were others before you
